BACKUPS:

Once you’re beyond security, this is where backup and disaster recovery solutions and planning come into play. Unfortunately, the worst case scenario always needs to be catered for, should the worst happen, be it a security compromise, hardware failure or a fire, your data needs to be protected, and you need a plan in place to recover as quickly as possible to ensure the impact to your business is as small as possible.

Remember, even if your data is in the “cloud” that does not mean it is safe. The vast majority of cloud data and email storage providers (365, Sharepoint, DropBox, GoogleDrive, etc) do NOT provide any backup facility by default.
It is essential that you back up your data to a third party solution, critically one which isn’t hosted within the same “cloud” where your data lives. Many cloud backup solutions actually backup your data into the same cloud that its already in. While technically you then have a backup, it doesn’t take a genius to realise that this configuration isn’t ideal.

Our online backup takes your data, encrypts it and then transfers a copy to storage servers which we host ourselves, essentially our own, private cloud, eliminating any reliance on public (Azure, AWS, GCP) cloud infrastructure.

Our solution can backup your PCs, Macs, Servers, NAS Drives, Microsoft 365 Mailboxes, SharePoint Data and Teams data, with more functionality regularly being added.

With your backups now sorted, you need to know how to use them, and that is where our disaster recovery consultancy gets into the mix.
The complexity of a DR plan depends on a number of factors, primarily the design and complexity of your IT infrastructure, the speed at which you expect/need to recover, and the particular circumstances of the incident.

While we can’t predict the mechanics of every scenario, we can set out plausible events and corresponding action plans, thus allowing is to have everything set out and documented, enabling swift recovery, reducing the impact to your business.
